Driving courtesy

I don't know what they're teaching in driver's ed.,but it has nothing to do with common courtesy or common sense. If I'm catching you on the interstate and making a pass and your steady speed is running you up against slower traffic, I'll either back off and let you pass, or I'll increase my speed and get out of your way, I will never ride on your left shoulder until you're boxed in. I'll never speed up if you're trying to pass me on a 2 or 4 lane road, and if you need around me and there's no where for you to pass , I'll pull over on the shoulder and let you get on with your business and I'm hopeful you'll extend the same courtesies.. The law says to KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS, if I'm going 100 mph and I'm not in the act of passing, you'll find me in the right hand lane. It's damn rude and dangerous to ride in the left/passing lane, it causes dangerous traffic clogs, and anyone with a lick of sense would know the chances of something 'untowards' happening increases directly in proportion to the number of vehicles in close proximity running @ highway speeds. Stay out of bunches and use your cruise control and don't take it personal if someone wants to run a little faster than you Jethro. It's not like they just want to be in front of you. Finally, visualize using your turn signals, stop daydreaming while piloting 3500 lbs of metal down the road, and use your turn signals before you use your brakes. Think about what you're going to do, not what you're doing Gomer
